Uniform Policy

The School Council has determined that uniform is compulsory in the interests of promoting a positive school identity and the safety of our students through easy identification.

  • Students are expected to attend school in full uniform at all times.
  • Parents are asked to ensure their child’s uniform is clean and kept in good repair.
  • Parents should write their child a note if a student is out of uniform for a valid reason.
  • Students can present a note from parents on a short-term basis (a few days) without incurring a detention.
  • Parents are asked to contact a student coordinator if a child will be out of uniform for an extended period.
  • Students who are out of uniform without a note from parents will be given detention.
  • Welfare staff are able to assist students or families who have financial difficulties and cannot afford a uniform, books, camp etc or who require information about financial assistance provided by government agencies (Educational Maintenance Allowance - EMA or Youth Allowance).

The Student Voice (student representative body) will occasionally run an Out of Uniform Day (no more than once per term) where students give a gold coin donation for the privilege of being out of uniform. Parents are informed of Out of Uniform days via the School newsletter.
