Instrumental classes are available to all students at the college.

Concert Band Pro

The following instruments are available for tuition:

• Flute
• Oboe
• Clarinet
• Saxophone
• Trumpet
• French horn
• Trombone
• Tuba

Some school instruments are available for hire at a low annual maintenance cost of $120. This year we will have a Junior and Senior concert band and all brass and woodwind students are expected to be members of one of these bands.

A fee of $140 per annum is charged to cover the costs of band music and other associated costs. Band rehearsals will be held out of school hours. The bands will be performing at various functions throughout the year and members are expected to be available for these appearances.

Contemporary Music Program

The following instruments are available for tuition:

• Guitar
• Drums/Percussion

These are user-pay lessons, with the charges ranging from $480 to $960 per annum depending on the instrument being studied and the size of the classes. All students are required to perform in a contemporary music ensemble, such as the choir or Junior rock band, as directed by the Music Coordinator. Ensemble rehearsals will usually be held at lunch times and members are expected to attend. The ensembles will be performing at various functions throughout the year and members are expected to be available for these appearances.
