The College was established in 1977. The farm from which the original land was purchased was called "Windy Ridge". Stage 1 (now "B" block) consisted of 6 general classrooms, toilet block, locker rooms, a canteen and plaza. The administration and staff facilities were housed in relocatable buildings. Stage 2 (now "C" block & part of "D" block) was completed in 1980. This section consisted of Commerce, Art Craft and Music facilities.
The Berwick Leisure Centre was built in 1981 on an adjacent site. This joint use venture (between the College, the City of Casey and the Ministry of the Department of Youth) provided the College with access to an indoor facility for physical education classes, general assemblies and lunchtime activities.
In 1985 the "A" block" was built. It now houses the administration, main staff room, library, science and computer rooms. The Performing Arts Centre was also completed in that year.
1996 saw a major refurbishment of the school. A New Senior school centre and Technology Centre (Stage 1) was built in 1997. The Ross Miller (two court) indoor stadium was completed in 1999 followed by the second stage of the Technology Centre in 2000. During 2001, the College built a synthetic hockey field (with the addition of club rooms in 2006) in partnership with local community organisations.
In 2004, the toilets were upgraded and the Food Technology area was refurbished. The next year, the Automotive Centre was built and special funding for the LOTE Centre of Excellence and Leading Schools Fund enabled the refurbishment of a number of rooms into flexible learning spaces. Over these years, the school has also relied on the use of relocatable classrooms to deliver its programs.
